Miss Kim’s Dress Code
Miss Kim’s has all Listed Dancewear for Purchase in Studio.
Ballet
- Black leotard, ballet pink tights, pink ballet shoes (preferably no ties).
- Pale pink or black ballet skirts are allowed.
- Leotards may be tank, short sleeved, or long sleeved.
- Hair must be secured off the face, either a bun or ponytail for longer hair, and barrettes for short hair. Click for Bun Tutorial.
- For ages 6-7, 7-8, and 9-11 Hair must be in a bun.
- Ages 2-3, 3-4, 4-5, and 5-6-Buns are preferred, ponytails and braids are acceptable.
Jazz, Tap, Hip-Hop, Acro, and Lyrical Class
*Please note: If you are taking Ballet and have class before or after Jazz, Tap, Acro, Lyrical, or Hip Hop you may wear your ballet attire (Black leotard, pink tights). New Option: You may also put black leggings over top of your black leotard and wear them to Jazz, Tap, Acro, Lyrical, or Hip Hop.
*All tights this year will be pink convertible for the 2024-2025 dance year. That way parents do not have to buy two types of tights.
- Jazz: Black leotard, pink tights, tan jazz shoes.
- Tap: Black leotard, pink tights
- Tap Shoes:
- Ages 3-4, 4-5, 5-6, 6-7, & 7-8: Tan Tap Shoes in stock at Miss Kim’s
- Ages 9-11: Black lace up Tap Shoes in stock at Miss Kim’s
- Hip Hop: Same as Jazz and Tap (Hip Hop the dancers may wear tennis shoes or tan jazz shoes)
- Acro: Black leotard, pink tights
- Lyrical: Black leotard, pink tights, lyrical turners.
Boys
- Black shorts or pants, white socks(or none), black ballet shoes, white crew neck tee shirt. Black Jazz/Tap shoes.
