Cassidy May Benullo

Originally from Los Angeles, California, Cassidy May is a senior Music Theatre major at Elon University and a professional performer, voice actor, and teaching artist. Cassidy has been teaching young performers for over eight years, working with hundreds of students in private voice lessons, musical theatre, acting, and dance. She specializes in helping young singers build healthy vocal technique, confidence, character, and most importantly, a love for performing!

As a performer, some of Cassidy’s favorite roles include Sonya in Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812 at Elon University and her professional debut as Kira in Xanadu at the Red Barn Summer Theatre. This fall, she is thrilled to perform as Janice in the collegiate premiere of Come From Away.

Cassidy has also worked professionally as a voice actor since childhood, with credits for Disney and Cartoon Network, including Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu, Olaf’s Frozen Adventure, and Peanuts. You can also hear her this fall in Behemoth! starring Pedro Pascal and Netflix’s Steps, the new animated Cinderella movie starring Amanda Seyfried and Daniel Radcliffe. 

Cassidy is passionate about creating a space where young performers feel comfortable taking risks, being silly, making bold choices, and discovering what makes them unique as an artist. She can’t wait to share her love of musical theatre with the next generation of performers!
